Fireweed Collective and the broader Mad community
Peer support, harm reduction, and radical-mental-health resources from communities that hold their own framing of distress.

Fireweed Collective (formerly The Icarus Project) is the longest-running U.S. peer-led, radical-mental-health organization. Its resources — harm-reduction guides for psychiatric medication, peer-led crisis-support skills, the Mad Map planning tool — are widely circulated outside its own community.
Worth reading alongside the Wildflower Alliance (peer respite, intentional peer support training) for the broader peer-led infrastructure that operates parallel to the clinical system.
