211 is a free, confidential service available to most of the U.S. and all of Canada that connects callers to local resources for mental health, housing, food, utility assistance, childcare, and more.
Especially useful when the underlying problem is structural (rent, transportation, food insecurity) and a clinical service alone will not solve it.
Mental Hum's library is a curated index of authoritative third-party resources. The summary above is our own framing; the full information lives at the source.
