Grief after a death — the Dougy Center library

One of the oldest grief-support organizations in the U.S., with free written and video resources for every relationship and age.

The Dougy Center7 min read

The Dougy Center has supported grieving children, teens, young adults, and families since 1982. Their free library is organized by who you lost (parent, partner, child, sibling, friend), how they died (illness, suicide, sudden, overdose), and your own age and role.

A useful counterweight to the stage-model framings of grief that have largely fallen out of favor in research literature without falling out of cultural circulation.
